Just as we round the corner into Valentine’s Day and the beginning of the 2012 wedding season, Tribeza comes out with the perfect guide for all of your love conundrums in this month’s Romance Issue. Be sure to pick up a hard copy off the stands, or peruse the pages digitally to catch a glimpse of yours truly along with many of our favorite vendor friends. Special thanks to photographer Bill Sallans for being wonderful to work with and for transforming my awkward camera grimace into a presentable picture.

A few weeks ago we shared our snapshots from this mod shoot designed by Bird Dog Weddings, and now we finally have some professional pictures to add to the mix! Paige Newton took some fabulous glamor shots of our neon jello molds nestled on a table of equally retro treats such as bundt cakes, angel food cake, pineapple upside down cakes, and strawberry trifles. Be sure to check out the rest of her photos that feature the stellar work of Bird Dog Weddings, The Byrd Collective, Lo Boheme, Nisa Nicole, Erica Rae, The Creative Parasol, Trophy Boutique, and video by Ava Baird.

After months of planning and preparation, The Cream Event finally hit Austin this past weekend. The party was jam-packed with talented vendors, photographers, florists and designers – all of whom wowed the crowds with their stunning displays and wild creativity. Bake Sale jumped in the mix with a dessert buffet featuring homey treats (like butterscotch pudding, pb&j pie and strawberry pop tarts) all nestled in wooden crates provided by Loot Vintage. Other highlights of the night included a dazzling fashion show from BHLDN (emceed by Camille Styles), string art from The Creative Parasol, a make-your-own bouquet table from The Byrd Collective, stunning floral headpieces from The Nouveau Romantics and one mightily hilarious dance-off. The evening was such a success and our snapshots really don’t do it justice. Keep your eyes peeled for a future post with profesional photos from the likes of Jennifer Nichols and Paige Newton!

2011 was the year of rustic weddings. It seemed like we were constantly swimming in a sea of burlap, twine and pies of all shapes and forms – which is why we were so thrilled when Emily of Bird Dog Weddings called us up to bake for a mod-inspired shoot. She pulled together an amazing team of vendors including Ava Baird, Paige Newton, Lo Boheme, The Byrd Collective, The Creative Parasol, and Trophy Boutique. This creative group jumped at the opportunity to switch gears from the usual rustic-chic to a fun kitschy 60’s vibe. We had  a blast whipping up  chocolate bundt cakes, an angel food cake, pineapple upside-down cakes, mini strawberry shortcake trifles and, of course, neon-colored jello molds. These snapshots truly don’t do the scene justice so be sure to check back for detailed images from the talented photography team!

Though I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week (time to get those pie orders in, people!), I can’t help but fast forward through the holidays to give you a sneak peek at a recent Valentine’s shoot we did with Camille Styles. As always, Camille and her team outdid themselves with the decor, crafts and all-around merry making and we were pleased as pie to take part. In keeping with the pink and purple color palette, we dished up strawberries and cream eclairs, raspberry macarons, red velvet heart cakes and panna cotta with cherry compote. You’ll have to wait until February to see the rest of the craft-tacular evening, but go ahead and sate your curiosity with these photos by Hayden Spears below.

A few weeks ago, Bake Sale teamed up with Camille Styles and her fabulous team to pull off the ultimate movie night party for The Glitter Guide. Camille set the scene with a patio full of cozy quilts, plush pillows and one enormous movie screen. Guests voted for which movie to watch on homemade ballots and dug into our dessert buffet loaded with retro-themed sweets and a full popcorn bar. Catch the gorgeous details here, and snag some of our favorite recipes here.
